I believe deep down inside he knows he's out of order and he wants people to convince him otherwise. God's voice in their subconscious tells them they are wrong. Those who fight that voice find their internal radio tuned in to the competitor without touching the dial.

But no, he was CURSED with having greedy parents and some level of talent, and with that lived a horrific life.

That is why mandating acceptance will do nothing for them - it just removes another excuse for their self-destructive behavior.
