The only way that this would be acceptable is if they could point to specific examples of treating students the same exact way for wearing zerobama gear in years past. As long as standards are applied fairly and equally we can then move forward to the discussion about whether those standards belong in the school(s). But if only one side is singled out, that’s definitely wrong and needs to be corrected.
I lived in Epping for 14 years but my kids went to St. Thomas Aquinas. We did go to the budget meetings every year and that was enough interaction with the teachers to know we never wanted our kids to go there. It turned out that we transferred to Georgia before we had to worry about it.
Lincoln was a "controversial" President, but they'll still take money with his picture on it in the cafeteria.
The fact is that the Democrats and media will see to it that there will never be another uncontroversial Republican President.
