If the FBI was just trying to find out what influence the Russians were having on the Trump campaign, why didn't they give Trump a heads up? "Hey, Mr. Trump, we have reason to believe that Russian operatives are trying to gain influence with members of your campaign organization. We will work with you to ferret out and eliminate any improper contacts."
Didn't happen. But man, they were all kinds of help to Hillary...
