If you think you know the story of Jerusalem, think again. There are the stories in the newspapers, there are the stories politicians will tell you, and then theres the real story. The underground story. Religious shrines on top of religious shrines. Empires on top of empires. Faiths battling faiths. The Western Wall, the Temple Mount, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, and the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Jews, Christians, Muslims all within steps of each other. Everyone claims Jerusalem as their home.
The history of Jerusalem is as long as the history of humanity. But does the history matter as much today as it did in the past? "Battle in the Holy City" a FOX Nation original documentary launching today is a story about the powerful undercurrents shaping the Holy City.
On the surface, things may look relatively still, but underground, a silent battle is being waged for control of Jerusalem. Our story will take you to powerful and ancient places where cameras have never been before, with exclusive footage, access and candid interviews with real power brokers of this historic city. This documentary reveals the real story of Jerusalem.
We all know the Biblical heritage of Jerusalem, chief among them Abraham, Isaac, King David, Solomon, Herod, and Jesus Christ. Central to this heritage are two holy Jewish temples the last destroyed nearly 2,000 years ago that serve as the epicenter of the Jewish faith. Today, a Muslim holy site sits on the location of those temples, with the site of Jesus crucifixion and burial just steps away. In an exclusive interview for Battle in the Holy City, Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu calls Jerusalem the most explosive square mile on Earth. Hes right.

These “Temple Deniers” are on par with Holocaust Deniers.

The first clue this guy knows what he is talking about is referring to “The Western Wall”
Only the clueless call it “The Wailing Wall”
Its the Western retaining wall of the Old Temple.
Not even part of the actual building.
When I visited there in ‘98, Israeli’s taught me that Israeli Politics is very very complex.
IT IS!
Thanks Ferris. Nice reading material for my lunch. Feeding my stomach, feeding my soul. A GREAT combination!
The world keeps building towards that moment.
I would certainly like to visit but can’t imagine how that could happen.
the most explosive square mile on Earth.
Luke 21:20-24
Jeshua spoke about the destruction of Jerusalem. He even said that not one stone would remain upon another regarding the great Temple. (Which make me completely doubt the Western Wall as belonging to the Temple and not Hadrian's Fortress.
So my point being that the destruction of Jerusalem and the Diaspora Jeshua warned about happened already by Rome when the Jews were dispersed 2000 years ago. Its not a future event. Yes, the Time of Jacobs Trouble is still ahead, but we are now entering the end to the times when the Gentiles have trampled on Jerusalem. The Gentiles means everyone else, Christians and Muslims will have no claim or power to squat on Jerusalem. Its coming.
Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. -Jeshua
Because it's spiritually driven, and spirit is deathless -- yes!!!
[Yes, the Time of Jacobs Trouble is still ahead]
Absolutely. It will begin one-half-way through that 7 years.
Of course, when the “peace” comes there will be even more mocking. The world will rejoice over the political messiah who has brought peace between Jew and Muslim over Jerusalem.
Sure, sounds far-fetched.
Israel returning as a viable nation sounded pretty far-fetched in the 1800’s.
A national Israel, reborn, that recaptured Jerusalem (and then gave 1/2 of it back) would have sounded ridiculous and far-fetched during World War II.
Christianity is a development of Judaism — with provision for gentiles, who in turn will respect and honor the Jewish legacy. There won’t be any “trampling” by those gentiles. They are counted part of the church universal of all believers from Adam’s generation to the end.
The Covenant God made with Abraham was through the Seed of Isaac and Jacob by Promise, NOT Ishmael by DECEIT! Which is where islamo’s claim their “right” of inheritance.
Israel’s true borders will one day soon be greatly enlarged, but first Jacob must endure the times of Jacobs troubles in order to bring the nation of Israel to accept the very One they denied 2 thousand years ago. Jesus will THEN set up His Kingdom.
God sure put the squeeze on Jews in the Diaspora, the most horrific example being the Nazi Holocaust, which is an explosive subject in itself.
But it never was His intention that Jews would merely remain abroad and not return home, forever.
yep
Jeremiah 23:3 New King James Version
3 But I will gather the remnant of My flock out of all countries where I have driven them, and bring them back to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.”

Might that passage speak of an earlier exile? But the principle is the same.
I studied for years in a “pre-trib” church and it is one quite plausible sequence of events. I’ve heard of variations like “pre-wrath” which suggests that Christians not be complacent — but again, I would posit that for positive reasons, not just negative ones, Christians should not be complacent. There’s a lot of harvest to reap, and to reap joyously, at that, by Christians who begin to understand that the Holy Spirit is more powerful than they had ever personally experienced in the past. Complacent Christians will miss out on this.
I agree, complacency leads to a falling away, and a falling away leads to apostasy. Rev. 3:14-22
Regarding the Dispensation we are in, note the following...
Matthew 10:
5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
The New Testament never really (begun) went into effect until the Crucifixion.
Hebrews 9:16-18 King James Version (KJV)
16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
18 Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.
