Sean's a smart guy, so eventually he's going to figure it out. The question isn't why didn't MUELLER & his team indict Craig, it's HOW THE HELL DID CRAIG FINALLY GET INDICTED AND WHO INDICTED HIM? The protected class in DC is about to figure out they AREN'T PROTECTED ANY MORE.
I guess when Tony Podesta gets indicted next, we'll see otherwise bright people grousing that IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MUELLER THAT INDICTED HIM and complaining loudly about it.
I mean, Greg Craig, Obama's top WH lawyer, gets indicted, and the big takeaway from this some people have is BUT IT WASN'T MUELLER!!! ?.

Craig is gonna wish he took the deal.
It sounds like Craig's legal team leaked this themselves to soften the blow and try to generate some sympathy for him.
Note how that's worded: the SPOKESMAN for the DOJ declined to comment, but Craig's legal team is TALKING TO REPORTERS about this expected forthcoming indictment.
