Full title: Navy SEAL Eddie Gallaghers commander defying Trumps orders, trying to send him back to the brig: lawyers
The legal team representing Navy SEAL Edward Gallagher is now accusing his commander of undermining orders from President Trump by imposing unnecessary and punitive restrictions on the decorated warfighter in hopes to entrap him and get him remanded back to the brig.
The blistering allegations against Naval Special Warfare Group 1 Commodore Capt. Matthew D. Rosenbloom were outlined in a 19-page court motion provided to Fox News just 10 days after the commander in chief tweeted that Gallagher will be moved to less restrictive confinement while he awaits his day in court on May 28.
Special Operations Chief Gallagher, who is alleged to have killed an injured ISIS prisoner of war in Iraq, amongst other war crimes, was moved out of the brig at U.S. Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in late March after being confined there since September 2018. Gallagher is now being held at another facility in the San Diego-area, but his lawyers are asserting that Rosenbloom is overstepping his bounds, and in their filing late Tuesday asked a military court to remove the conditions of pretrial restraint unlawfully placed upon him.
"Despite numerous attempts to bring the illegality of these actions to CAPT Rosenblooms attention, in the hopes that he would reverse course, CAPT Rosenbloom has remained intransigent and defiant of both the Orders of the President of the United States and the principles of the Constitution, which he swore to uphold and defend," lawyer Timothy Parlatore wrote in the filing.

Pardon him now and Fire the commander and take his retirement!!
Looks like Capt. Rosenbloom may not be very smart taking on the CinC.
I just got home and I hope he’s already been fired. Looks like POTUS will have to fire a few more Generals, Admirals or whatever it takes to whip these services into shape the way it should be..........
Does a “tweet” constitute a “direct order”?
If true, appears as if the Captain is looking for a general discharge...
Fire his sorry azz, strip him down to ensign and boot him out without a retirement check or a security clearance.
It appears that the Captain was looking for his first star but forgot that POSObama was no longer his boss.
This has become a political show, which is too bad. Regardless of his military history, did or did he not kill unarmed or injured people in his custody? Did he kill civilians? Did he target non-combantants? I read various reports over the past months and wonder about all of this. Just because he is a “hero” doesn’t mean he is immune to justice. Curious.
This article doesn’t say the President’s tweet was the order, it says he tweeted Gallagher will be moved.
Capt. Matthew D. Rosenbloom might actually be stupider than AOC. I’ve never heard of anyone in the chain of command ever defying the orders of the President.
I hope Rosenbloom enjoys standing in the unemployment line.

That should be a career ender. No flag for him.
This!! Absolutely, this!!!!
Purge these azzholes from the ranks!!!
It must be noted that I was discharged long before Twitter came to be...meaning that each and every order *I* ever received was either written of verbal.
Just sayin'...
Dishonorable discharge immediately. You disobey the C.I.C. direct orders and I don’t care if you pulled the trigger to kill 100 terrorists charging an American school saving all the children.
Your questions are to be answered in court beginning May 28...Until then, he should be held, but there is no reason he should be held in maximum security without any visitation rights to his family, which is the way it was until he was moved.
written of verbal = written or verbal.
I agree a verbal or written order should be required and the article doesn’t say whether it was or wasn’t issued.
