To: a little elbow grease

I’ll bet that’s true. I could have thrown a ball, but to hit it with a melting bat would be problematic.

In reality ..... for me it wasn't "melting bats", it was just a question of how often ones optic nerve fires per second.

A curve ball seemed to take forever to do its thing on the way to the plate.

I tried a little LSD three times playing baseball back in the early 70's and the curve ball was just a drag. Time was just too extended for me. It was hard to wait for it.

And being a centerfielder, it seemed like time was endless between pitches.

I did not repeat the experience after those three times.
