Communists always think they have to pander to regular people (”code switching”).
That’s why they used folk music back in the 50’s and early 60’s, hence the folk music craze.
But it turned out Rock music was way better at making socialists and communists.
Now it’s glockenspiel, whistling, and acoustic euk on every dang commercial I hear on radio and tv. Ugh!
Commie folkies hated rock until they subverted it.
Same with punk music (which began as an affront to the hippies)
