The sooner the wall is built, the sooner the problems will go away.
What we have going on now though isn't that..it's a 'coordinated invasion' of S. American leaders, Global elitists, and US Demorat Organizations in this country facilitating the caravans to force their way in.
Assuming the wall is not built on Mexican territory, or we do not reach a treaty relationship whereby we "make Mexico the wall", how will a wall end the crisis?
As long as it is our law that anyone setting foot on one inch of US soil has the right to petition for asylum, and that every petitioner has the right to a hearing in front of a judge (which IS the law), and as long as there are many hundreds of thousands of petitioners whose hearings will take five years, and as long as the courts enforce due process on the government - what is a wall going to accomplish?
