There are a lot of things she could have done. She did nothing to stop catch-n-release. Temporary shelter could have been built which is plan that I think Trump is going to go with. She is a Bushie. It’s obvious.
So she could have changed the stupid catch and release law but didn’t? It wasn’t the job of congress? It’s my opinion that unless the borders are closed and those trying to cross are not fired upon (let’s say with tear gas) then nothing is going to change.

Like what? You were asked for specfics and gave a meaningless generality. The number of illegals she can detain is limited by spending appropiations at fewer than are coming across each month. the courts have ruled she can’t hold minors more than a couple weeks. Any DHS Secretary is going to have their hands tied. So what SPECIFICALY should she have done to magically end catch and release?
They need to set up tents. They were good enough for our military in Iraq, they will be good enough for people who are supposedly fleeing for their lives. Also they need to appoint administrative judges to go through the first layer of refugees and turn back those who do not qualify. Also do some dna tests to see if the kids with them are really their kids. If not toss them out immediately. The children need to be returned to their home countries and let their government reunite them with their parents
