That is basically the situation. If we can button up the Rio Grande Valley and the border cities with effective new wall system, it will make a dramatic improvement in controlling our border. He has been targeting the most important miles first.
Being able to deter and delay with barrier, and detect and intercept with technology and people, is the physical problem. The separate policy and legal issues about what to do with them once caught, is a whole different problem. That is probably why the President is looking for a real hard ICE Director.

I don’t know what’s happened to him, but this is not the Trump that campaigned to be tough on illegal immigration.
If I had been those board patrol members sitting there, I would’ve thrown his campaign promises right back into his face.
