My mother in law in CA has been waiting 6 weeks for her “appointment” with the DMV.

Tell her to drive to Needles, No Waiting, No Appointment necessary, in and out within a few minutes usually. I have a home in AZ, an AZ license and most of my stuff is registered in AZ. I still have a couple vehicles with CA plates and if I need to go to the CA DMV this is where I go.
It is very difficult thing to do.
