Chicago is in such fine shape now, whats a decade or two of moving further left to see how it works out?
I was born in Chicago.
I had a beautiful condo downtown off Rush street, that I owned with my brother. I begged him to sell it with me, but he said no, and bought my half.
the annual fees and taxes run around $40K per year. It’s prime real estate.
These bozos will raise the taxes another 10% per year, probably more.
He’ll get his money out of it and then some, that’s not the problem...
Chicago is a toilet. You’re safe in the daylight, and in most places downtown, but that’s it. A beautiful view means nothing to me anymore.
I have no desire to return there for any reason.
