The Democrats in the Colorado State Assembly are pushing for a “Comprehensive Human Sexuality Education” bill, HB19-1032. This bill will require schools to teach children specific topics such as “sexual experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals,” while the bill stipulates religious tenets or doctrines may not even be “implicitly” taught.

Parents’ opt-out options will be limited when gender fluidity topics are taught outside of direct sex-ed classes (that’s the exact argument BVSD used). And, of course, even if parents do keep their kids from school or manage to opt them out of specific classes or presentations, their children are still going to school with all the children who have seen that material and will likely readily transmit it just the same.

Many parents view this bill as the state’s attempt to turn public schools into ideological reeducation camps where schools take on the parents’ role in making decisions about their children’s education in sexuality.

You would have to be an idiot to leave your kids in the school system today.

no doubt! and a normal person might think that the governors proposal for 'free kindergarten' was to help working families.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

We do have a sexual fluidity problem... that is, being poured out into the streets like sewage (to put it similar to how the Proverbs do).

Addressing the source of the mess is the best thing to do. We live in a lust filled, love starved society.

The radical socialist leftists have taken over the Democrat Party in our USA and they are using the same harsh re-education tactics used in Soviet Russia and Red China. Today’s Democrats turning our school-age children’s brains into mush with the lies of “gender fluidity” and global warming. They also have adopted the old style communist hate of religion, the free market/capitalist economy, plus push a class struggle agenda.

To begin with, the Colorado Constitution shows that the state's legislative powers are vested in the elected members of the general assembly.
" Article V, Colorado Constitution
Section 1:
General Assembly Initiative and Referendum.

(1) The legislative power of the state shall be vested in the general assembly consisting of a senate and house of representatives, both to be elected by the people [emphasis added], but the people reserve to themselves the power to propose laws and amendments to the constitution and to enact or reject the same at the polls independent of the general assembly and also reserve power at their own option to approve or reject at the polls any act or item, section, or part of any act of the general assembly."

So if nonelected state actors are making things difficult for parents then the state's constitution is possibly being violated. And if such is the case, constitutional problems don't stop there.

More specifically, if Colorado state actors are ignoring legal majority voters on this issue then it is also a problem with the federal Constitution imo, the Constitution guaranteeing each state a republican form of government.

"Article IV, Section 4: The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government [emphasis added], and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence."

On the other hand, even if the parents are minority voters then it can be argued that state actors are violating Section 1 of the 14th Amendment (14A). That section prohibits state actors from abridging constitutionally enumerated rights, probably 1st Amendment-protect freedoms of religious expression and free speech in this public school example.

From the 14th Amendment:

H O W E V E R …

Although PDJT would likely find a way to deal with constitutional rights violations by a state, we’re still stuck with a corrupt Congress that predictably won’t lift a finger to deal with renegade states.

The remedy for misguided activist states …

All patriots in the nation need to come to the rescue of Colorado parents by electing new patriot lawmakers to Congress in the 2020 elections, lawmakers that will not only promise to support PDJT’s vision for MAGA, but will also due its constitutional duties to guarantee each state a republican form of government and make 14A-based punitive laws to protect citizens from being oppressed by their states.

Remember in November 2020!

MAGA!

Corrections, insights welcome.

This problem will not be resolved until parents flood school board meetings and demand teachers be fired for doing this or else they will file never ending lawsuits until that happens. That might also work on replacing school board members that backed the teacher.

Government schools are already ideological reeducation camps. They're designed that way.

Government schools should be abolished.
