My take on this whole thing is this:
1. What old Joe did, and has continued to do, is a bit weird but doesn’t rise to the level of real sexual assault. This is overblown.
2. However, Joe Biden is one of 2 politicians that Dick Cheney claims have gotten every single issue of foreign and defense policy wrong for literally their entire careers (the other being Horseface Kerry).
3. It is clear that Biden is the most moderate (which is to say, the least Leftist) of the entire clown car of Dem candidates, plus he has a long (not good, but long) resume and great name recognition. As such, if nominated he’d be (IMHO) the only Dem with a chance against Trump next year.
4. It is also clear that Biden is being targeted because the Leftists don’t want him around - they are impatient for power, and likely feel like they’ve played the incrementalist game for long enough. They want power NOW! So if they destroy Joe Biden, that’s just fine from a political perspective - we really MUST have another 4 years of President Trump.
5. That all said, it is said that a guy who is a bit weird but otherwise harmless is being taken down like this. That’s a very sad commentary on our society and the direction in which we’re going.

I think in the main I agree with you and it is instructive just who it is that’s doing the complaining about Joe. Joe’s a stubborn old coot and a survivor who’s dealt with upstarts in debates before(like Ryan)...he’ll start with that unnerving hypnotic crocodile grin(like he did to Ryan in ‘12. Palin, he had a much tougher time with) and chew them up. When Biden is actually focused, he’ll be ruthless.
To amply my post to you previously, I think Joe gets pissed and stays in just to bug the youngsters! Folks like my older liberal relative will think he is angel and will vote and split the Dem’s between young and old. Some youngsters are about to get practical lessons in the ‘inclusiveness’ doctrine they preach but not ones they expected!
