Venezuela was the first Latin American country in the 1950’s to overthrow a dictatorship and install a democratic-leading government. It took the reds decades to subvert, propaganda and undermine the govt prior to Chavez in order to install a Marxist dictatorship.
Trump could be the new “Monroe Doctrine” proponent which served us so well for over 100 years.
More than a handful of troops - several hundred from each country - they are not like the ill-trained Cubans or Panamanians; these are special operators like SEAL teams, Delta Force, SAS etc - AND there countries have nuclear weapons if needed. They will not fold.
This could well escalate into a new “Cuban Crisis” - lived through that, don’t want to live through another because someone hugely underestimates the problem at hand.
