House Democrats weigh legal options on Russia report, including Mueller subpoena

WASHINGTON — House Democrats on key oversight committees are exploring legal options, including the possibility of subpoenaing special counsel Robert Mueller, if the Justice Department fails to meet their request for a full accounting of the 22-month investigation into the 2016 Trump campaign and Russian interference, according to three lawmakers involved in the discussions.

Sending a subpoena straight to Mueller — possibly bypassing Attorney General William Barr, who was in charge of the special counsel’s office and provided a four-page summary of Mueller’s report to Congress — is one of several options Democrats are considering as they seek to obtain the full report. The Democrats spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to disclose private conversations.

Barr’s summary, sent to Congress just two days after he received the Mueller report, said the investigation did not find evidence the Trump campaign had conspired or coordinated with the Russian government. Separately, while Mueller's report "did not draw a conclusion" about whether President Donald Trump had obstructed justice in the investigation, "it also does not exonerate him,” Barr’s memo said.

Mueller subpoena? Ha! So theatrical, yet not convincingly acted.

The statement they make is really about themselves, their instinctive, and Orwellian and really insulting deceit; and they have become just what we've learned to expect from delusional Dem/socialists.

That's what I've been thinking the real reason for them wanting the full unredacted report - get all the names involved to have show hearings with and re-rake it all over the coals from now on. Mueller is now a discarded tool who failed to deliver, and if they want to continue the narrative they gotta do it themselves. Never minding the fact it would violate national security and due process - they're only interested in those when it suits them, otherwise it's hassles to be ignored.

The democrats want a full accounting of Russian interference in the 2016 election.

The well-repeated meme of the the democrats and MSM always starts out with: “We know the Russians interfered with the election.”

1.) If they “know” then why is the extent of the Russian interference unknown? If the Russians controlled the election, would it not be so obvious that the evidence would be ankle deep across the nationwide electoral districts. How can the “knowing” exists without knowing what the Russians did?

2.) How is it possible that the Russians, not having any presidential election experience, could come over and best the most expert operators the democrats could muster representing a party with a almost two hundred year accumulation of election dishonesty, deception, and corruption.

3.) How would it be possible to separate out the Russian lies and deceptions from the democrat lies and deceptions?

Sundance did a good analysis of this
My theory is the report has info about the Trump family since they were ALL spied on, ALL including Trumps wife and ALL his children.

These despicable Nadlerites are still trying to overthrow Trump by getting to his FAMILY

Barr’s letter was too verbose. Only needed two lines.

1. No Russian collusion.
2, No obstruction.

All the rest is unnecessary verbiage.

I think it’s so funny! Democrats were warning everyone that if Trump didn’t accept the results of the Mueller Report, they would impeach.......

Move forward to March 22nd when the report said “No Collusion and no further indictments” now the Democrats will not accept the report, and they want to subpoena Mueller and possibly try to find him in violation of the law because they didn’t get the results they wanted, all because they believed the lie of the MSM.

So funny.

It reminds of Hillary saying there is a danger to the United States if Trump didn’t accept the results of the election, when in fact she didn’t accept the results for almost a year.

Crazy Democrats, Wacky

They’d better be careful what they wish for. Their dirty laundry is about to start flapping in the breeze.

The way Schift for brains was targeted last week, I believe he might be one of criminal referrals Nunes has.

That would certainly fall into the realm of well-deserved payback. Do you remember that, early on, Nunes had to recuse himself for a while because he was under ethics investigations for whether or not he had overstepped bounds in decrying the Trump investigation? I believe he referred in a general but nonspecific and careful way to information he'd obtained in a classified setting.

Schiff was trying to suppress Nunes' exploration of what was really going on by getting him sidelined.

Since Mueller works/worked for Barr, Mueller’s only recourse is to mail the subpoena to Barr and wait for instructions, if any.
