If you bothered to read and put together my whole comment you would have seen, the very first words “I can see the need for this in some cases”

Yes govts can get out of control or even have mistaken or unnecessary situations happen but their original responsibility is to protecting the people. You and others on FR so fearful of govt take over of people’s lives well you’d be singing a different tune if disease outbreaks happen because state or medical people can’t check up on possible diesease spreader.

Other articles on this family’s sitution is that all the kids were hospitalized. The parents and others can whine about inteference but who’s to say for certain the hospitalization did not thwart one or more of the kids having a more serious problem if left at home? Not to mention the condition of the home inside, apparently the kids were not being well cared for.

Some years back I almost rented a room from a family who were foster parents, once i saw the complete shambles of the home the sticky grimy kitchen and bath, the disgusting 2 refridgerators with obvious old oozing foods jam packed in on the shelves with supposedly new food i realized it would be a health hazard for me to live there. I could not believe the state would allow these people to foster a less than one year old. mix in the multiple pets hair, nasty carpets etc. Some people don’t take care for their natural or foster, adopted kids well and why should kids suffer?

These kids in above article were suffering with various levels of illness and needed care not being done by the parents. I’m not for traditional medicine Rx for everything, but these parents just needed to open the door but they knew they were in the wrong in many ways so they rebelled and created a bigger mess.

The children were taken to the hospital not hospitalized. It does not follow they children were suffering from various degrees of illness. None of the articles make that claim. It is somewhat routine to take children who are placed in DCS custody for medical examination. It does not mean they were sick-it just means DCS is being cautious. Which is fine. You don’t want to place an ill child in a foster home with other healthy children.

I did read your comment.

I thought it had lots to commend it.
