As I read it, these Visas only fill jobs Americans could have but want more money for. This is the Chamber of Commerce influence.
That said, job descriptions on Indeed and the like are getting more and more ridiculous with the requirements. Everyone has their own software and you must have 3 years experience in that software.
Job titles don’t mean a damned thing because they’re all making up their own definitions.
And then you have the recruiters who I suspect are matching up the Visa holders with job openings.
Why aren’t companies hiring perfectly great American people and giving them a few weeks to learn whatever is new?

Because they don’t want to. They put in ridiculous requirements that Americans can’t fill and then say oh well we must bring over a H-1B from India who doesn’t have the requirements either but often lie about it.
