Critical Theory, taken as an intellectual whole, is entirely ludicrous, denying as it does the very foundations of fact. However, it has been a highly effective tool in swaying emotions, which are the foundation of politics, and in the resulting accumulation of political power. It is a luxury of a society wealthy enough to afford the consequences of denial of reality until that society isn’t anymore.
I am seriously tired from all of this. It is draining the energy away from the country. I almost feel like I have an obligation to beat the snot out of a liberal and say it was because he was a sniveling little snot.
