Federal prosecutors are close to bringing charges against Greg Craig, a prominent Democratic lawyer and former White House counsel in the Obama administration, in a case that originated with special counsel Robert Mueller, according to people familiar with the matter.

The possible charges are connected to false statements Craig allegedly gave to investigators who were looking at the work he performed for Ukraine.

Craig was their lead attorney in the Elian Gonzales kidnapping. Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.

It’s time to investigate... Even if this guy turns out to be ‘not guilty’ after two years of looking into all aspects of this life (and the lives of people he’s connected to) it’s worth the effort. He might be connected to Russians for all we know... or maybe had sex with a democrat slut or porn ‘star’... the public has a right to know.

I’ll believe it when I see it actually happen. Maybe he’ll get all charges dismissed for having done two hours of “community service” work.

The instant one week investigation key to the whole thing is and was the “Russian hacking” of the DNC server that never happened. The DNC had its own contractor, Crowdstrike, that it hired through Fusion GPS, analyze the server and, MIRACLE OF MIRACLES, it found the “Russians hacked its emails.” However, the DNC refused repeated FBI requests to analyze the server. In addition, the only independent review of the metadata attached to the purloined emails showed they were extracted from the server at a far higher speed than could be done over the internet. Hence, no hacking and no Russian involvement.

i think it’s more likely that Trump and associates gathered enough evidence from disgusted staters, justice and intelligence community and secret service folks that he sent a representative to a good ol’ ny/dc back room and made a deal. if you can successfully put casino resorts in nefarious place trump has, you understand highly leveraged negotiations. Always make it benefit all sides. The conversation probably ended with, so that sure looks like Treason and Sedition to me! How ‘bout you. might have even been Giuliani.

I agree with everyone else. You’re being waaaayyyy too charitable. Mueller and his angry democrats weren’t looking to do any favors for Trump. I don’t know if it’s true that they concluded no collusion a year ago, but if so holding past the election could only be injurious to Trump.

Podesta has one of the immunity agreements that Lerner passed out like Candy at the end.

I think you mean Lynch. An immunity agreement only pertains to a specific set of facts or a specific matter. The immunity pertained (I believe) only to the investigation into the mishandling of classified information on her private server. It is not blanket immunity and no court would accept that.

A little known fact about immunity agreements is that they become null and void if it can be shown that a person cooperating lied or made a material omission of any kind in what they were asked to include what they did not tell even if they were not asked if it is pertinent to the investigation.

I am not a lawyer, but that is my understanding.
