You make my point.
We’ve been burned by them three times already. Saved them from themselves and they stab us in the back. Not sure if we should save them again, they’ll likely hate us even more if we do.
It's the nature of their madness to embrace the latest wave of psychosis, teeter on the brink of total destruction, and then HATE the savior who pulls them back from the brink.
At the end of World War II, Europe lay in ruins. American wealth, courage, and goodness had delivered them from the Nazi nightmare and, together with American magnanimity and generosity, brought them to unprecedented prosperity. As soon as America eliminated the Soviet threat, what did they do? They embraced the very Marxism from which Americans had just delivered them--rejected the free market capitalism that had produced all the wealth that had delivered them from their madness--and HATED the Americans once again!

This ugly reminder of the intolerance still prevalent in some parts of the world ought to make us all grateful for the freedom and rights we enjoy as Americans, but it should also spur us to action. Given this grave news, its time for both progressive LGBT advocates and Christian conservatives to set politics aside and come together to do the right thing: Support the Trump administrations campaign to end the criminalization of homosexuality worldwide.

Hopefully, both sides will do the right thing. Once we come together to stand up for human rights, theres more we can do than just support Trumps global campaign. Americans of all political stripes can donate to charities helping victims of anti-gay violence, like Rainbow Railroad, a group that helps LGBT people persecuted internationally escape oppression. Additionally, we can boycott Bruneis hotels, companies, and products to put pressure on the government to reverse its repressive new rule. But most importantly, we can start simple and, political tribes aside, all treat each other with dignity and respect to set an example for the rest of the world.
So in the face of the startling new anti-gay laws in Brunei and elsewhere, the way forward for Christian conservatives and LGBT progressives alike is clear. Lets just hope neither side chooses petty politics over standing up for people’s lives.
Excellent
I meant the post I was referencing was excellent, not the title of the thread.
