I had a similar experience. I no longer considered myself a Republican in 2016 - when it was clear the GOP leadership was trying to sabotage their duly elected nominee Trump. He was the overwhelming choice of rank and file Republicans and the only candidate capable of beating Hillary Clinton, but the GOPe didn’t care.

Does anybody seriously believe her son “Jeb!” would have beaten Hillary Clinton? BWAHAHWAHA!

I was a Registered Conservative here in PA, until I found I couldn’t vote in Mid-Terms, so I had to re-register as a Republican. Independents can’t even vote in Mid-Terms.

The ONLY reason that I am a registered Republican is that I was forced to sign up in order to vote for President Trump in the 2016 primary. I’m NOT a Republican. Maybe one day the Bush family still living will announce that they are not Republicans too.
