A federal judge has ordered the arrest of two allies of Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan for failing to appear for depositions in a lawsuit filed by Madigans opponent in the 2016 election.
The Chicago Tribune reports Joseph Nasella and Michael Kuba were subpoenaed by Jason Gonzales, who ran against Madigan. Gonzales claims the speakers team stacked the ballot with phony candidates with Latino-sounding last names to confuse voters.
Gonzales lawyers allege Nasella and Kuba were paid with funds Madigan controls to circulate petitions for the alleged sham candidates.
U.S. District Judge Matthew Kennelly on Monday authorized deputy marshals to use necessary and reasonable force in arresting Nasella and Kuba.

This is IL. Nothing will happen to them. An arrest is a Democrat resume career enhancer.
It's not the first time Madigan has monkeyed around with the ballot, and it probably won't be the last.
Without Chicago, IL would be a Red State.
Chicago IS the RED state.
Its why Madigan had his own daughter elected at AG in Illinois. cover his flanks
Even some southern Illinois Democrats are more red than blue. I remember a few years back, a St. Louis-area state rep, Jerry Costello, a Democrat, was publicly running against “the Chicago politicians.” I haven’t followed his voting record so I don’t know if he got in line with Madigan once he got to Springfield. I do know that that kind of talk Costello was using would resonate in his area — which used to be reliably Democrat, but has gone Republican in several governors races, for Congress, etc.
What! The rule of law to apply in Chicago? to Madigan???
Avanetti is a shoe-in for the Democratic Party nomination in 2020.
Read the entire excerpt- It made no mention of political party involved, therefore this is about democrats.
Smollett announcement and subsequent sideshow derails media attention on the bigger corruption story in Chicago/Illinois. Coincidence?
Ah, who I am kidding...the media would have ignored it anyway.
