(WASHINGTON) — An effort by House Democrats to override President Donald Trump’s first veto has failed. That hands him a victory because his declaration of a national emergency at the Southwest border will remain in effect.
The Democratic-controlled chamber has voted 248-181 in favor of overriding Trump’s veto. That fell 38 votes short of the 286 needed

Sorry but this is bad. How so many so-cslled “Americans” in Congress who have sworn an oath to defend the Constitution can vote to override the President on border and national security. All these elected treasonous SOB’s want is to continue with the open border free-for-all and to hell with the country and its citizens. This is beyond being a national mental illness.

Something occured to me when I was watching the sequel to “Sicario”. Before the first scene starts, the text that appears says “The Mexican cartels control the border.” That probably explains why there isn’t more action being taken by our elected officials to close it. They are somehow benefiting financially from the cartel’s steady supply of cash. At least, that’s what I’m thinking.

Fitzpatrick is totally worthless, a RINO’s RINO who got elected for the first time (without my vote) in 2016 running for the seat his brother previously held. I’m sure that most voters in his district didn’t even now he wasn’t the same person (not that his brother was that much better).
In 2018, he was endorsed by just about every union and left-wing group you could imagine. Unfortunately, a MAGA primary challenger fell well short of unseating him.
