That is not a new development. Been going on many decades.
Both the media and the entertainment industry, the latter as far back at least to JFK.
Look at the released emails (Wikileaks?) where the Hillary campaign was contemplating ending her public appearances and just having the media campaign for her; that said it all.
I thought the 2012 campaign was just as frightening; after 4 years of failure, Otoken was re-elected anyway. The Dems were smart enough to have many ObamaCare provisions kick in FIVE years later (so the 2012 campaign would be over by then), but that bit them in the rear for 2016. ObamaCare played a big role in the trouncing the Republicans delivered to the Dems.
I agree, this is drivel. People who believe everything plastic people tell them... have done irreparable damage. The media is just an easy punching bag for Republicans who had total control and did nothing.
