I believe George is jealous of his wife’s career and, for whatever reason, wants to destroy her. How petty to go after her boss.
She is a good Catholic girl who wants to stay in the church communion. She cannot divorce.
It just occurred to me: what if—either together as a couple or if he decided by himself—George would be the “designated loudmouth” who carps about PDJT purely to keep the snowflakes and Antifa goons out of their lives?
