I am a student of history and that does not mean I just skim the surface of actions and reactions, but that I have in-depth knowledge of the “before” and “after” of what I study. You obviously have small regard for the French and an incongruous attitude with regard to the Germans. The German of today is far removed from the Prussians of yesteryear and indeed resembles in no regard the Wehrmacht of the last war. There WILL BE carriers regardless of the technology you tout so highly. We, the USA have more carriers than the rest of the world combined and most importantly, we have real sailors to man them and a real strength in Air Force, Navy, and Marine Pilots. REALITY is that we outgun the rest of the world and need have no fear of the strawman threats you seem to give so much credence to.

The European Union rules by crisis. It’s their way of using the normal people. Its rulers are quite insulated from their troubles, and their imperialistic plans are proceeding apace in spite of blanket denials. Never underestimate anyone.
