And unless we move to neighboring countries, they’ll rise faster in our absence, because it’s not our presence that is aiding their rise.

Germany funds its cradle to grave social welfare state on the backs of the US taxpayer. They literally thumb their nose at legitimate requests to pay a paltry 2% of GDP on defense.

America needs to leave the defense of Europe to the Europeans and focus on their own domestic infrastructure and social issues.

Let that fat sow Merkel worry about the Russians.

Consider how radical the Europhiles are. They were all about rule-by-crisis long before their toady Obama tried to transfer that here. The influx of the Mahometans is exactly for the purpose of having the people demand a big “change” to the system, which won’t be change but acceleration of the ambitions of those Europhiles. Removing our presence from Europe wholly would merely help that along.

And saying “Europeans” lends legitimacy to the notion of the EU. From its beginning, the notion of a united Europe under German dominance was always with an anti-American bent; nothing’s changed since those early days.

They are not worried about the Russians one bit. The Nord Stream affair is the present-day equivalent of Molotov-Ribbentrop.

That is a part of seemingly logical geopolitical approach meaning if one has the capability he would use it. On first take it sounds right. If the nation is strong enough it might be a military threat one day and the further conclusion says unstable weakened nation is not a viable military threat.

And then you are accepting this approach it seems like only logical to follow it but there is one little problem and all you need to see it is to switch on projection capability.

Just put yourself into your potential adversary’s shoes and it doesn’t take much brain to see he won’t like an idea to be weakened and unstable just for you to feel good.

And it is well worth for for him to go to war over it. That is how you make enemies out of thin air.

That is for assertive peacemongering leads to wars. WWII is a perfect example.

The same is happening with Russia right now and we see scores of people on thread willing to expand the same treatment on Germany right now.

The notion of a united Europe is all about anti-Americanism.

Even worse, the pattern of the EU government is the same as the USSR. Their bureaucratic structure has imposed creeping totalitarianism for several decades.

Beware of history repeating itself, especially when it’s staring you in the face.

“” “” Once again nobody explained why would Germany attack Poland which is already a state of German-led confederacy.
*******************************************
Hmmm. Remember the anschluss? Austria was already practically German was the thinking. What is wrong with you?”” “”

Let’s be honest. If it has finished with Austria everyone would be happy and forgot about it. That includes Austrians.

Austrians were more Nazi than the Germans. Hitler was one of them.

Let’s be honest. You are showing astonishing ignorance. The Austrians wanted to be Austian, NOT German.

Who said I am a proponent of EU? The Soviet tendencies are clearly visible but to both support and oppose it is a sort of foreign entanglement the Founders warned against.

The Founding Fathers warned against entangling alliances to be sure, but not against all foreign alliances. The vitriol of German politicians and their EU allies (toadies) against Trump in particular (and against Bush in the past) speaks volumes.

JFTR, I did not say you were pro-EU. But I now am struck with interest at your defensive posture with respect to the notion, which I did not allude to.

Those that don’t know history (like you apparently) are doomed to repeat it. Germany is not a peaceful country. They think they know everything. They are dangerous, cold domineering

And last year Germany couldn’t deploy a single submarine because they were too cheap to buy spares despite running massive budget surpluses annually. And a few years before that they deployed broomsticks to a NATO exercise because they were too cheap to properly arm their army. With allies like that who needs enemies?

Germany is rotten to it’s post modern core. A hollow shell of a nation driven by economic interests alone. That they have a strong alliance with one party state fascist Russia should be no surprise.

The Snowflakes in Germany are not the Germans of 1939. They couldn’t even raise the manpower today.

Manpower? They can’t even arm what they’ve got. Once Putin starts shooting the Germans fill their pants and shove money at him.

Why would Russia go to war with Germany? Or Germany would go to war with Poland some on the thread are raving about. There are no reasons whatsoever.

That’s right. Very few of them even stand up to the Muslims raping their women.

Oh, the Washington Compost story from four years ago.
All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when we are able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must appear inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near.
Would not surprise me if that was a sympathy ploy.

Nothing is “here to stay”. Even the citizens of the Roman Empire believed it would never fall.
