Cal Thomas is a good man, but the parade has passed him by. He claimed to have "retired" from politics several years ago to concentrate on spirituality. Unfortunately Cal is still playing by the rules in place when Dwight Eisenhower and Adlai Stevenson were the shakers. But that world is long gone.

Now in 2019, turning the cheek and playing nice will only get your ass kicked. It's much better to be the one doing the ass kicking.

because some “spiritual” people only cling to the passive ways which do not work in all situations. Even Jesus got angry, fought back in ways at times and in certain situations.

Trump is a good balance of kindeness and humility at times always speaking well of others in proper situations and (just like Jesus) verbally fighting back when they situation warrants it. Trumps not perfect but most people deluded about what makes a real good president, they think it’s about how they speak or how they look and that they should be kind all the time, that’s why our country is sliding into a bigger mess.

Absotrumpinlutely! I’ve tried to educate some of these “kinder, gentler” Rino squishes. It’s a waste of time. I’ve told them that this President doesn’t let things slide, he doesn’t let anything slide. He punches back every time, hard.
GW wanted to “ be better than that”, to “not dignify that with an answer”, to “stay presidential”. What did it get him? Approval ratings driven into the thirties by the lying scum Democrat Media.
The Never Trump squishes whine about the President tweeting, if he stopped tweeting they would rationalize a dozen other reasons to oppose him. They can’t or won’t admit they are wrong and that Trump is our best man since Reagan.
