President Trump secured the Republican presidential nomination on May 3, 2016, when he crushed a final Never Trump effort to stop him in the Indiana primary.
At the GOP Data Trust, a voter outreach organization based in Washington, the mood was bleak. It was clear Trump was heading for a blowout victory.
When Trump had delivered his victory speech shortly after 9 p.m., Data Trust staffer Courtney Mullen invited her colleagues to attend an end of the world happy hour to mark Trumps triumph, which the party establishment had watched in horror.

The Bush League Republicans who run the GOP have spent their careers keeping the citizens from stopping the illegal alien inundation.
Trump’s election would seem like the end of the world to them.
They live and breathe the GHW Bush Plan for North Mexico (aka USA)
End of THEIR world...
These losers sound like a lot of the Never Trumpsters on FR.
Wonder what their log on names are?
This shows how close, we were to losing our nation to the Dark Side.
What they mean is the end of THEIR elitist world where they can do whatever they want and get away with it because that’s the way its always been
He chose... poorly.
The world didn’t end but people still act like it is about to. I’m just grateful we didn’t get Jeb..... or Kasich.....
[[Im just grateful we didnt get Jeb..... or Kasich.....]]
Who would both be in the fetal position in the basement of the White House by now.
And think how many of these types of sissies still hide out on FR?
I would welcome the end of this perverted, broken, libtard world.
Courtny honey, you think you’re being funny. I’d love for you to be right.
That’s right, girls.
“The Donald” was elected to end the world as we now know it, and usher in a new and improved version.
Very insightful.
Both Kasich and Jeb are Democrats because they dont have vision and just do what they are told to do.
Yeb! was supposed to be the nominee, but he never would have got near the White House unless invited by Hillary.
Boy, the Never Trumpers were on the loose today.
Now that this is public, how about a staff change?
“The idea that he has any number of people in “the People’s House” that are traitors to his Presidency is so offensive to me.”
They are traitors to our President, our country and those of us, who voted for Trump to be our president.
I have one question, “Why are they traitors?”
First let me say that politically I am 100% on Trump’s side and 0% on the GOP-e side.
However, something which is worth pointing out repeatedly:
The entire Democratic party apparatus was in favor of Hillary vs Bernie Sanders. And they cheated, modified votes, changed debate times, coordinated with Hillary but not Sanders, gave Hillary advance info against Sanders, had fundraising events which benefited Hillary but not Sanders, .....
The entire Republican party apparatus was in favor of Jeb (or if not him, then anyone else) vs Trump. While there were a few isolated unseemly incidents (such as Ted Cruz picking the delegates nominally for Trump), Trump won the primary and while I won’t say everything worked out and do condemn the skullduggery, attempted coup, .... it remains true that the people in charge of the Republican party put aside their personal bias to run a fair system.
TLDR: The elites on our side are more ethical and all-around better people than the elites on their side
I rately concede to any positive assertion about the RINOpublicans, but I will defer to yours.
So we did a pretty good job of selecting which side of the Titanic to choose our rooms. Good to know.
