I can name hundreds of ways, as Military is used as Pork Projects by both parties. All you have to do is look in the Pig Book to find many. Planes, Ships, tanks, weapons we spend Billions on they don’t want or need. $7 K speed bumps for 5 mph parking lots mainly Ret. Seniors use.
The NEW Electronic Pharmacy check in system they put in is DOWN after the Snafu of the Installation less than 3 months ago. Now there are only 2 techs at the windows 1 at Intake 1 at Pick up.

Can anyone find the article where it was reported the Military held one H of a party costing TONS of money? It was the only one covered, out of all the others like ED, FDA, DEA, CDC, and the other alphabets. If they have that much at the end of the year they can certainly afford a 10% CUT TO ALL CONGRESSIONAL BUDGETS.
Oh that’s a short summary of the inside the beltway culture of corruption and payoffs. Where do you think all the money to build those buildings in Tyson’s corner comes from and what do you think they do in those buildings. They sure as hell don’t get their hands dirty making military hardware.

Oh, and the rot spreads all around the DC beltway and is reaching out into what was pristine VA and MD countryside.

And you know who is to blame for this - Bush and Cheney. DHS, the WOT and the Iraq War were yeehaw times here in DC. It must have added a couple of million folks to the metropolitan population. Helped buy everyone off to go along with all of that. That is why the DC suburbs are now among the wealthiest counties in the country. And love or hate government bureaucrats as you will, but it isn’t government payrolls and government salaries that expanded. It’s mostly “private” organizations that reaped the payola.
