Attorneys for Ocasio-Cortez told Snopes.com in March that the congresswoman left the Justice Democrats board in June 2018. However, the group’s corporate filings indicate that Ocasio-Cortez remained part of its corporate leadership until last Friday.

Snopes wrote that the committee's attorneys provide the "crucial" clarification: "Crucially, the attorneys emphasized that the way the committees described the services provided by the company was, in brief, no less specific than the law required it to be:" So now Snopes is probably wandering why AOC was fired if everything was above board.
