Not much point in it. The Congress will trash this budget. . . I'm amazed you don't get it. He's raising the issue and showing what side he's on--which is another rallying point for American voters. Who for the most part don't want to pay for that snowflake, hate-America broadcast and culture industry. He's doing this so that non-swamp Congressional candidates get a few points' advantage in next year's primaries, and he gets a few more points in the general election.

They’re wasting their fire on something the
Congress will ignore, anyway. The more they
protest, the more people will wonder if there
really is a need for a govt TV network when
there are hundreds of cable channels.
