In Suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.
Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

France and Italy do not have a presumption of innocence in their judicial system, and the UK does not have an equivalent to our 1st Amendment nor considers truth to be a defense against libel charges.

One Islamic interpretation is that individual personal peace is attained by utterly submitting to Allah.

Verse (60:8) - English Translation
Shakir: Allah does not forbid you respecting those who have not made war against you on account of (your) religion, and have not driven you forth from your homes, that you show them kindness and deal with them justly; surely Allah loves the doers of justice.
There's your peace and respect from their point of view.
If you don't submit - no peace.
If you go to war with them - no respect.
Pay your slave tax (jizya: deal with them justly) - respect due, not guaranteed

That is it. In Islam there is the House of Peace which is obtained when all unbelievers either convert to Islam, live in dhimmitude, or are destroyed.
Then you have peace.
Otherwise you have war.
