Everything just takes longer because of 9th circuit, appeal, and Scotus. But look at what Trump’s doing to reshape the federal judiciary and that problem will not last forever. And those judges will be there for a long time.

Currently (authorized seats = 29)
RATs: 16 (of that no. 9 are Clinton Appointees, some of whom are “ripe to go”)
Reps: 8 (Trump has already put in three of these)
Vacancies:5
Nominees: 4 (3 of the 4 replace RATs)
So it’s up to McConnell. Just filling the current vacancies really does level the playing field. Keeping Trump for two terms, will completely alter the Judicial landscape for many, many years! Particularly in view of the fact that he’s picking new people who are under 50, and even under 40.
