Curiously, the region of Kashmir in northern India has an infamous thousand year history of mutual savagery and slaughter between Hindus and Muslims.

The dispute over Kashmir and the prior creation of Pakistan is the result of (not so) Great Britain caving to the Indian Muslim threat of civil war unless the Muzzies got their own country when the Brits returned self rule to India.

Had the Brits supplied modern arms and a little coaching to the Hindus and Sheiks, there would be no Pakistan, nor Pakistani nuclear weapons.
