In the first 24 hours after the deadly mass shooting in New Zealand, Facebook says that it has removed 1.5 million videos that were uploaded of the attack, of which 1.2 million “at upload.”
The company made the announcement in a Tweet, following up on a prior announcement that it had been alerted by authorities and removed the alleged shooter’s Facebook and Instagram accounts. Facebook spokeswoman Mia Garlick says that the company is also “removing all edited versions of the video that do not show graphic content.”

Nope, tried it, this morning. They have no problem with showing a Hindu suicide hitting the concrete after a 10 story drop. (His head SPLASHED.)
But they have a self defense paragraph up, explaining how they never promise to show EVERYTHING, without judgement.
(I suppose I'm a sociopath. The clips on Liveleak are mildly interesting, as an object example of why not grab a 2300V power line. But, I don't brood on them. It's why I never went into medicine. That everyone is a bag of unattractive glop?)
fund it...two things struck me:
1) there would’ve been a lot more people dead if he moved to a different part of the building..
2) ten minutes of shooting yet you don’t hear a single police siren??

Why is it a crime to possess the video? I can understand out of respect to the families of the loved ones that they’ll demand social networks to take it down. But that’s about it.
Well, apparently in New Zealand, it’s a crime just because the authorities have banned it ... I guess that’s all it takes.
This is more practice for the ‘states’ of the future and their total control over information that they deem is what the public should have. It’s time we learned how to get around it all. Everyone needs to develop the tools and skills to get around this kind of suppression of information. This current video is a good way for people to practice different ways.
They are not showing it. They issued a long statement. One can see it on Best Gore where it is running without issues.
