The crowd in attendance at a vigil at Auckland’s Aotea Square cheered loudly when Attorney-General David Parker said the Government would ban semi-automatic rifles.
He warned of a global rise of extremism.
“There is a dimming of enlightenment in many parts of the world,” he said.
“How can it be right for this atrocity to be filmed by the murderer using a go-pro and live-streamed across the world by social media companies?
“How can that be right? Who should be held accountable for that?”
The answer is obvious: New Zealand’s law-abiding gun owners. They’re the ones who will pay for a crazed killer’s murder spree by giving up a piece of their gun rights and their property.

And with the Attorney General’s pronouncement, Ardern moved swiftly to make good on that promise.
Speaking to media in Wellington this morning, Ardern stressed that “now was the time for change.”
Ardern said five guns were used by the primary perpetrator, including two semi-automatic weapons, and two shotguns.
“The offender was in possession of a gun licence,” Ardern said.
American civilian disarmament activists are cheering the New Zealand government’s swift reaction.
All is proceeding just as the shooter had planned.

But you don’t seem to understand. The banning of semi auto weapons will make the criminals the first in line to turn them in to the government. Then the folks in NZ can all be safe. If all the weapons are turned in, they won’t even need gun free zones. /s/

Photos like his prime minister in Muslim female submission garb are EXACTLY why this shooter did this; his elected officials are playing for the other team (as are ours here in the US).
Who would have dreamed even a decade ago that more than half of the US government would view protecting the border as “hate” - and refuse to do it?
Without defending the shooting, could anyone tell me what course of action is left for the soon-to-be-conquered Western populations?

That can never be allowed here because our rights clearly don’t come from the govt. They come from our creator as was noted in the founding document of our country and clearly instructs us as to the govt’s limited authority granted to it by us the governed
New Zealand has a population of 4,947,100, a little more than Alabama. There are probably 100 x more guns in Alabama than in New Zealand.
It’s a nation of five million. In 2015, there were just eight gun homicides. There are 1.5 million firearms in the civilian population. And the attorney general wants to do what?

One of the most infuriating things I’ve ever seen is a picture of Nancy Pelosi, during her first term as Speaker, third in line from the Presidency, wearing a head scarf on a visit to a Middle Eastern country.
That too.
She’s wearing a head cover AND taking civilians guns.
This won’t and well for the non-muslims.
