CNN pays airports to have CNN on. They even furnish the TVs.
Big airports get paid a couple hundred thousand.
Smartphones and tablets probably make CNN Airport obsolete anyway.

Infuriating to me, of course. Hospital family waiting rooms and many schools have CNN, too, though.
Someone here last year mentioned the device that turns off a nearby TV by a sort of clandestine remote. I didn’t buy one and haven’t planned on using one but it tempts me more and more. Lucky for them I am law abiding.
