I grew up in North Dakota in the 50s and 60s. Most in my high school class were Scandinavian, with a few Germans and English. Very peaceful. Those days are gone forever. Took it for granted.

My grandparents and mother were German immigrants in North Dakota in 1925. That generation fought like Hell to MAKE AMERICA GREAT!

NA couple of college classmates were cousins.

One was from ND and the other was from SD.

They joked that the biggest danger was going to sleep while driving in/through their states.
