I have several thoughts

One is foremost I’d imagine plenty of those poor dead folks had no desire to see a world caliphate nor all of us dead

But at the same time the entire world will fixate on this killing exponentially more than the 1,000,000s killed by Muslims in the name of Islam in recent decades

We invariably hold whites to a higher standard

An odd twist on the soft bigotry of lower expectations for Muslims who kill versus whites even if a deranged white killer or killers

One thing for sure, gun control folk will howl

Unfortunately, the liberal establishment and the media will milk this mass shooting for every drop of propaganda that it's worth. They couldn't hope for better grist for their mill, with an emphasis on these three talking points:

1. That it "proves" that Muslims are overwhelmingly innocent victims of western "Islamophobia," because thanks to selective reporting freak man bites dog cases like this get all the press while everyday brutality and murder by Muslims against non-Muslims (both in Islamic countries and non-Western ones) barely registers.

2. This story will be used to tar anyone and everyone who wants to restrict mass immigration as an "enabler" of mass shooters or as a kindred spirit. Just as anyone who opposes affirmative action or busing in the US is portrayed as the ideological and moral equivalent to a Klan lynch mob as far as the media is concerned, anyone who thinks that importing Muslims and other Third World people en masse is now going to be smeared as another incarnation of these mass shooters.

3. As with any mass shooter, there will be a push to punish the people who didn't do it - law-abiding gun owners. Expect New Zealand to enact gun laws as if not more onerous than Australia and the UK's sometime soon.
