Dr. Rand Paul Releases Statement on National Emergency Vote
Sen. Rand Paul ^ | Sen. Rand Paul

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: March 14, 2019 Contact: Press@paul.senate.gov, 202-224-4343

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) released the following statement after voting to disapprove of the national emergency declaration regarding the border:

“I stand with President Trump on the need for a border wall and stronger border security, but the Constitution clearly states that money cannot be spent unless Congress has passed a law to do so.”

On March 4, 2019, Dr. Paul introduced the Border Enforcement, Security, And Funding Enhancement (BE SAFE) Act as a constitutional, fiscally responsible alternative. The BE SAFE Act would impose a $2,500 border security fee on each new green card issued to fund the construction of new border walls or physical barriers and other immigration-related improvements. The bill also directs U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) to deposit all fees paid under the BE SAFE Act into a new Border Security Enhancement Fund at the U.S. Treasury. Only the president would be authorized to use the Fund for certain immigration-related purposes.

You can read the BE SAFE Act below:

He’s an unprincipled bought man.

More like an egomaniacal cult leader. He’s just marginalized himself forever in Presidential politics.

We’ll find out if he votes yes to overturn the President’s veto.

They don’t have the votes in the House to override. I don’t believe it will ever get to a Senate vote.

Obama Spent 150 Billion on Obamacare Without Congressional Authorization.

Obama spent $150 billion dollars to shore up insurance companies that insure the poor. That move appears to be illegal because Congress refused to appropriate the money to do it.

Federal judge rules Obamacare is being funded unconstitutionally

House Republicans won Round 2 in a potentially historic lawsuit Thursday when a federal judge declared the Obama administration was unconstitutionally spending money to subsidize health insurers without obtaining an appropriation from Congress.

Obama Bypasses Congress, Gives $1.5 Billion to Muslim Brotherhood

During a trip through Colorado in December of last year, President Obama spoke of his intention to implement his economic policies with or without the approval of Congress. Said Obama, “And where Congress is not willing to act, we’re going to go ahead and do it ourselves.” It now appears that such a mindset applies not only to economic matters but to the distribution of foreign aid as well–in particular, foreign military aid for the Muslim Brotherhood, who now hold the reigns in Egypt.

“YOU are judas Iscariot !

YOU tried to hurt the American, legal, citizens today.

YOU are a liar. YOU waited all these years until today,
before you decidedly acted against this great President.”

Add Senator Marco Rubio to this also.

Translation:

Obama spending Billions of Dollars of Taxpayer funds without Congressional Authorization to support Terrorist Nations and Terrorists in General was just fine and dandy, but How Dare President Trump try to put the DRUG CARTELS out of Business.

I’ve been on the fence over Rand Paul for a long time. His efforts for pro-life, which I now realize were for effect only, sucked me in for too long. Name one single, measly accomplishment for pro-life. You can’t. He’s lost me for good. And I hope I’m not alone.

Well mr smarty pants if most of us Paul supporters had not voted for trump you’d be bitching about Hillary right now

I can think of dozens of people i know who were ron paul supporters who went all in for trump, raised hundreds of thousands of $, drove people in rural areas to polls, and did a lot of ground work for DJT and will again despite insults from people who cant see 20 feet ahead

We are supposed to have principles and this time it is a border wall, next time it might be an emergency order to disarm a lot of the population or ban god knows what

Think ahead, logic might hurt but it’s useful
