Did the NYPD ever investigate that theatre troupe who staged a mock assassination of Trump in their play a couple of years ago? Isn’t symbolically killing an actual person made up to look like Trump worse than defacing a poster?

I seem to recall at least one incident where Donald Trump's star in Hollywood was smashed to smithereens.

It was defaced in some form or another at least twice, and I don't remember the expression "hate crime" ever being used, although I could be wrong. I also seem to remember that some homeless person, or older person, who objected to the defacing was surrounded and attacked.
