Officials from the @realDonaldTrump administration are here watching as Fisher Industries workers demonstrate how they would install the 30-foot steel bollard border wall
I love this so much! Go Trump go! Build that wall.
RECORD TIME and UNDER BUDGET. Go for it!
6 million a mile? that still seems crazy high
What 12.7 billion divided by 365?
34million 794thousand 520 and 55hundredths (rounded)
This is What California Taxpayers PAY FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS EVERY DAY!!@
at this point, i dont care how much it costs as long as it’s up and stopping these pukes..
Record Time and Under Budget will be on this President’s tombstone.
He was renowned in NYC for this. A legend. Nobody could figure out how he could do this and keep the trades in line. They loved working for this guy.
hmm very interesting method, low tech and cheap. as for the costs, there is one hell of a lot of tons of steel per mile.
That’s impressive. 56 foot sections installed as one piece.
Even if they could erect a mile of the steel per day (which is 660 8' sections per day), they certainly can't pour a mile of footings per day. Don't get your hopes up for this kind of production. However, I hope they just get started ASAP. The sooner they start, the sooner they finish.
A mile a day....... How many miles is the Border? 1,900 or so?
I have to ask one great big Fing question why arent we seeing drones being used to bring us video everyday? Kellyanne Conway get into 21 century! They should have people talking to the guys building this monster.
This is a big deal no footage niente. And yes I did write to the White House expressing the sediment.
Those bollard walls are so bogus. Clearly easy for the illegals to scale, even to 30’, as we have seen in multiple videos. The 18’ segments are a joke. And of course the open slats make it easy for contraband still to be passed all along the border. I don’t believe for a minute that they are safer than a solid wall either, in that they provide an opportunity for border patrol officers to get shot at from pretty much any direction from the Mexico side.
I think both the border patrol admin and unions have been bought off and they have been recommending something that will both make more border patrol staffing required — and let the criminality continue unabated.
“Record Time and Under Budget will be on this Presidents tombstone.”
No greater epitaph.
The very epitome of the Program Manager. The man you call when you need something done, especially those somethings that cannot be done.
Video cameras would allow border patrol to see the other side of an opaque wall, and watching the wall could be done by crowdsource and/or computer vision.
I’m surprised it still wouldn’t be quicker and easier to change the way we accept/process asylum claims than relying on an inanimate object to do the work.
I often express my sediment...
They mostly only make the asylum claims after they’ve been caught, so I think we definitely need the wall.
But it all needs to be changed. Apparently Trump has had the power to stop main immigration draw all along, as the well-regarded former DoJ attorney Sidney Powell wrote in October last year, but he apparently doesn’t have the will to do so and instead is now talking bringing more in legally so they don’t have to bother with coming in illegally. It was a bad sign when he got Kushner and Pence involved—aye-aye-aye!

They do make the claim after arrival, but if they had no hope of asylum (except in very rare circumstances) or being released in the US then they wouldn’t bother trying.
He’s one hell of a logistics man.
What they mostly do is just slip through the border and only attempt the asylum route if they have been caught, as it is an effective get-out-of-jail card.
I agree that should be reformed/ended. But that is only a small part of the overall draw.
