There have been at least 40 fatal stabbings in Britain already this year - a rate of one every 1.7 days - as police chiefs warn the country's knife crime crisis has become a national emergency...
...With at least 40 victims as of this morning, Britain is averaging one fatal stabbing every 1.7 days - with the youngest victim, Jaden Moodie, aged just 14 when he was knifed in Leyton, east London, in February...
...Last October, new figures from the Office for National Statistics found that knife crime had hit a new record in England and Wales, with 39,332 offences, an annual increase of 12 per cent in the year to June 2018.

for contrast, Statista for 2016 shows about 1,600 knife murders in the US (just under 5 a day). I haven’t found a link yet that details US knife ‘offenses’ (which I guess could be anything from threatening someone on the street to robbing a store)

It is, of course, important to remember the victims. Going through that list was heartbreaking, absolutely heartbreaking.
But there was no mention of the perpetrators. Were these attacks mainly relationship disputes that went bad? Robberies? Drug or alcohol-related crimes? Gang activity? Or some combination of the above?
But Britain being Britain, the focus is on the weapon (knife), and not on who is wielding that weapon.
Side note: I checked. The only fully legal self-defense items in the UK are whistles and portable alarms. Even pepper spray is prohibited because it might harm someone (!).
Nothing can get done about it if the government refuses, even makes it illegal, to identify the group that is responsible.
Too bad the UK was disarmed. Not only their weapons, but their will to fight. It would have been glorious had they resisted!
Guns make everyone equal. Without them, the weak and defenseless are at the mercy of the ruthless jackals. God made all men equal, Sam Colt made them polite.
No one is going to bother this lady while she's on her daily walk. And it's not because of the dog.
mostly random on the street. I’ve read about two that were scissors. Almost all were multiple, aggressive stabs, usually the head involved and in broad daylight with others around. Very sad about them all, but especially the 17 youths who barely had a running start at life.
Anything can be a weapon. Outlaw knives and then there will be a hammer bludgeoning epidemic. Outlaw hammers and then it will be pencils. Two years ago, a 23 year old lady was attacked by a brown bear. She killed the bear with a ball point pen by repeatedly stabbing it in the eye. She was badly injured but survived. So anything can be a weapon if needed.
Knives are necessary to prepare food. It’s stupid to outlaw them.
A knife bin? Wow. It’s amazing what lengths the UK will go to just to make the Muslims laugh.
Knife surrender bin to be unveiled outside Green Lane Mosque
Is that a screwdriver?

If the Muslims get to empty it, then it’s more likely a knife donation bin.
Is that a screwdriver?
No, I think its a Fuzzy Naval...
> Is that a screwdriver? <
I’ve read that many house burglars carry a screwdriver. And it’s not for driving screws.
The blade shaming is over the top.
Put your knife in the bin, coward. You must not be a man if you need to carry a knife. ...

Yep. There has also been an epidemic of acid attacks in the UK. So there has been serious talk about restricting the sale of acid (acidic drain cleaners, etc.).
If all these bans go into effect, then some variation of the Molotov cocktail will come into play. Then I guess you would have to ban gasoline. Or matches.
Again, guns do not kill people. People kill people and they will do it anyway they can.

What they need to do....just issue everyone a tomahawk, and let them have at it for a month. Then with whoever is left over....restart the timeline and the empire.
