A Japanese economist has warned that Japan should use caution following a loosening of regulations on foreign labourers claiming that the country should not open the gates to mass migration as Sweden has in the recent past.
Economist Takaaki Mitsuhashi commented on the new reforms, which aim to combat the rapidly ageing Japanese workforce, saying that while he welcomed foreigners into Japan, he did not want to see the country follow the path of Sweden, Finnish broadcaster Yleisradio Oy reports.
Foreigners, mainly from Africa and the Middle East, have settled in districts that they have since completely taken over, Mitsuhashi said and added that police refuse to enter certain areas.
Mitsuhashi visited the no-go Stockholm suburb of Husby, where local businesses have experienced difficulty hiring security guards due to crime and violence, describing his impressions of the area saying, whatever it was, it was not Sweden. We do not want this development in Japan.

Look at how it has been for Sweden, so you get a good picture of how it becomes when you open the country for immigration. Sweden and Japan have about the same basic conditions, high gross domestic product and free, democratic societies, he added.
Another issue facing Sweden but not mentioned by Mitsuhashi is the much higher rate of unemployment among Swedish residents from foreign backgrounds compared to the native population.
A report last year showed that the unemployment rate for native Swedes was around 3.9 percent, while the foreign-born unemployment rate topped 21.8 percent.
A study released last year by the Swedish Expert Group on Public Finance (ESO) also showed that migrant children arriving in the country after age seven were also performing so poorly in schools that half were unable to pass grade nine.
Tokyo.
Is that just a fluke...or is it because Japan's immigration policies don't allow foreigners to settle there?
Japan does it the correct way.
VERY hard to enter.
VERY hard, next to impossible to become a citizen.
Impossible to be a foreigner and buy property.
No open borders.
No multiculturalism.
Japan is absolutely the last place on earth that should open its borders to immigration, especially the 3rd world type.
It’s because Japan knows what Islam is.
There is nothing, absolutely nothing positive to opening a developed country to immigration of low IQ, third world barbarians.
If you have population issues, reproduce or make further use of technology to further automate and eliminate requirements for labor. Importing incompatible people will only bring disaster on a massive scale.
With regard to Muslims in Japan, the small number allowed in on work visas are also subject to close government surveillance. The Japanese are not fools.
Is that just a fluke...or is it because Japan’s immigration policies don’t allow foreigners to settle there?
Ueno park. The park was a magnet for crime. Funny thing is, crimes were mainly by foreigners from Africa and the middle east.
They pulled a knife on me and demanded my passport. I was lucky cops were walking nearby. I got away. Never went back to the park. Not sure what’s it like now. Their cops will always get their man
Has Sweden gotten the slightest amount of labor from their new immigrants?

Its the inbreeding from tribalist/muslim societies. The best kept secret of the middle east and north/central Africa.
Japan has one of the smartest, cleanest and crime free populations in the world. If they would like to keep their way of life they should not worry about their population size and keep their culture. The easiest way is to have full tax benefits for children.
Japan is hurt because they are the safest and healthiest nation. They live a long time. There should be incentives to work longer. But none of these traits will exist if immigration is increased. People are not all the same. And a multicultural society is more expensive than a monocultural society.
The false notion year is that if the population starts to decline its not a horrible bad thing
so what?
The whole wall street economic nonsense that it has to grow grow grow grow grow is a bunch of nonsense
You can have a perfectly good economy that steady state or even contracting somewhat
Exactly! Non-stop population growth is only necessary in countries dependent on increasing consumption through debt.
There are many (politically incorrect) things Japan can do if they want to stop the population decline (without resorting to immigration).
A radical idea would be to allow only married people with children to vote. That could be phased in for new voters as they reach voting age.
Even more radical would be allow one vote per child, so if you were married with five children your vote counted five times.
Future incentives would be determined by the new voters!
The Japanese had Paki immigrants before Sweden had Arab invasion.
They did have an attack from Aum Shinrikyo. They finally got around to hanging the leader of that cult last year.
They got some sake and sashimi and some clean sheets.
