IMO we dodged a bullet because Obama is, by nature, LAZY.
If he was as hard-working as Trump today this country would be positively Stalinist.
His critical mistake (imho) was not doing amnesty instead of Obamacare.
He had a window 2009-2010 when Democrats controlled it all to get one big thing done and he could have gotten amnesty.
The GOP would not win another election and they could do all the rest after that.
I've wondered that myself. Obama was indeed still the pot-head, choom-gang member and affirmative action wonder-boy he was labelled from early days. But we know Obama was also a hologram candidate, seemingly plucked out of nowhere manufactured, and put in his place by others, for American consumers. It seems that as part of the deal, Obama understood and accepted that he wasn't fully in-charge.
