I mean what are they so worried about? Every parent loves the job they are doing so why would anyone want the choice of moving their kids to another school? If everyone is so satisfied with what they are doing, they have nothing to fear - the bill would be a moot point.

I screwed up and didn’t link to the full article - reported to the mods hopefully they can fix it:

Teachers have said they are protesting a number of issues in the 2019 General Assembly, including House Bill 205, which would create a scholarship tax credit program.

so what ticks them off about the scholarship tax credit?

Teachers unions? This s**t should have never been allowed to happen. Look at LA,CA cesspool, they demand more and more benefits and $$ year in, year out. And it don’t matter what they get, they want more and more.

Meanwhile non-government workers can go for years without benefits or even a small raise.

Unions should never have been allowed in government and teaching.

The irony is the teachers will need to work longer into the summer for each day the schools are closed.

Fire them all and give the tax money back to the people so they can pay for private school. Then, close up the public schools. They are just indoctrination centers anyway.
