Standing desks and golf carts are unto themselves nuetral to me. You buy your furniture at the end of the year when funds become available (Money not assigned for other tasks)and a lot of people swear by standing desks and golf carts are used a lot to move people and gear short distances and in confined spaces, e.g. very large warehouses (250,000 sqft). It usually isn’t the item that causes concern, rather the occasion. For instance, golf carts are used a lot on runways, where security is high and you don’t want to take them out of the compound for refueling. On the other hand, a golf cart so someone can drive one building over is a total waste.
So true. In private enterprise, the workers are generally aware that they shouldn't waste resources so the company doesn't go under and can keep employing them.
In government, waste is the rule because there seems to be an endless funding of an ever-larger budget. The more waste, the more they get the following fiscal year.

Those responsible for this deception should be fired and all personal assets confiscated.
While the nyc mayors wife cant find the 850 million tax payer money she was given for her mental health programs, like AOC and her 885 thousand “there is no problem here” money thrown into an LLC, like Bernie sanders 5 houses, like michelle obamas lavish caviar and champagne lunches. Those that don’t and go to DC to clean it up are quickly shut out of the process. Even if they did manage to rattle cages, the corruption is so vast, it amounts to nothing.
Trump is shouting and it being heard but even he is struggling to really do anything to drain the swamp.
